I had Vera lite with Ui5 that worked great for my Yale touchscreen. Unfortunately the vera died. I use the setup at a rental property and have to manage quite a few PIN #s. I looked at Indigo, but the interface is very clumsy if you want to manage PINS foe renters. I can’t get enough information about Homeseer but their forum suggests they have some issues. If I stick with Vera should I purchase an older unit with ui5 or get something new that can be downgraded? The reviews on the current operating system are not especially positive and I really need something that is stable. Any suggestions are welcome.
I had an original Vera 1 (the rebranded ASUS router with the Aeon Labs Z-stick USB Z-wave controller). The Vera died recently, and I got a Vera Edge to replace it. I have the older Schlage lever locks (3 locks, with a number of lighting controls and a sensor or two). There was some talk about the older Schlages not working with the new Vera Edge… Well, inclusion was a problem,… But once that was done, I’ve found that the locks work just as well with the new Vera with UI7 as they had with the old UI1 Vera 1. I haven’t had any real problems with UI7, for what it’s worth.
