Today Alexa suddenly refused to find any commands or devices. I tried disabling the vera “skill” in the alexa app, but when I tried to re-enable it, alexa went through the motions (connect me to vera servers, accepted my logon, had me choose devices, etc). then Alexa tried to enable the skill. Then it failed, with the message “We were unable to link Vera Control at this time.Please try again later.” I tried later repeatedly and continue to get the same message. This has worked more or satisfactorily for years, but now it’s a complete fail. I’ve also rebooted the vera box, and checked for updates (there weren’t any). Right now I’m very frustrated…help appreciated.

We’ve tried it recently and couldn’t replicate the issue, I would kindly recommend you to uninstall the Alexa app and remove any other files that could’ve been stored in your phone and then try to install it and try again, it could be related to a cache problem.
