Air Duct Dampers - Z-wave or Insteon ?

Anyone know if there are native duct dampers that are Insteon or Zwave? Or must we retrofit?

I haven’t found one yet however would be interested if there was one available.

As has been stated in other threads, need to be VERY careful when using those registers through out the house or even on one level.

Restricting to much air without using a bypass system and freeze stat.

Oh… no biggie… I have like 30 registers

Pretty good explanation here:

2 things about that article.

  1. It says… “In a well-designed system”
~ 0.01% of residential systems would fall into this… and I suspect those are only custom homes.

  2. it is also talking about closing vents - thus, closing things at the ‘end’ of the ducts. This is not good, again, in a proper system

My home has less than half the air flow in the upper level, than it does on the main level. Using dampers properly will help my situation… placing them at start of the duct tree will force more air into the other branches.
