Aeon Multisensor not working outside

First, a small overview of my zwave environment.
The house is controlled with a Vera Lite and I have ~ 35 devices throughout the house.

I have two multisensors in use. One is in an office and the other is utilized outside. The office sensor works perfectly.
The one that is outside continually will not report in. There are two switches within 5 to 15 feet from the multisensor that are zwave enabled and should allow for the multisensor to be routed back to the vera properly.
I have tried doing a repair on the network and it does not work. When the device is in near the vera it does seem to work.
Can you please help me in troubleshooting this?

Are you able to report the model & make of the switches you have in between?

It sounds like a distance issue. Zwave messages have so many hops until it stops. I believe that is 4 including the vera controller.
