This may have been asked previously and maybe I’m searching with the wrong criteria but I have been unable to find anything.
Is anyone able to clarify two things for me:
With the Aeon Labs Micro Illuminator modules from my experience they seem to turn the lights on and off slowly by dimming up and down. This is a pain when you need the light to turn on instantly. Is there anyway to change this so they turn on and off instantly rather than by dimming? I have tried changing to the config in Vera so it doesn’t treat it as a dimmer but to no avail. :-/ I’m guessing I’m going to have to use the smart energy switches for the remaining lights to achieve this but thought I ask anyway.
With the Aeon Labs dual micro switches is there anyway to delete / move the “all” device that is created that will turn on and off both outputs of the switch at once?
I don’t have one of these, so the following may not work.
According to the documentation, these switches come default configured for an On/Off toggle. The mode can be changed to a momentary dimmer toggle by holding the inclusion button for 6 seconds.
It sounds like your switch is not in the default On/Off mode. You might try changing the mode.
the mode is just to change between what type of switches you have. for example, if you have toggle switches, that flick from on to off, then you leave it as default. if you have momentary buttons, that is on when you push, off when you let go, then you have to change modes to momentary. my aeon dimmers ramp up and ramp down, and i have momentary switches.
my dual smart energy switches, turn on and off instantly, and no, you cant delete the parent device. nor can you keep the parent device in one room and the 2 child objects in another.
