Hello
I just acquired a Vera3 and a Aeon Labs motor controller with the intention of controlling my roller shutters. The shutter motors are 3 wire, Neutral, up and down with internal limit switches. Playing around with the unit on my desk I found that when you send either an up or down command the internal relay closes in either direction and stays closed until you issue a stop command.
I don’t like the idea of leaving power connected to the motor in case a limit switch fails leaving the motor stalled, which would create a fire hazard. Is there any way to have the device issue a stop command say 60 seconds after an up or down command is issued or the external switch is used?
Or should I be looking at another brand of controller. I am in Australia BTW.
