Aeon Labs DSC06106-ZWUS - Z-wave Smart Energy Switch - $30 at Amazon

For those in the market, Amazon has the Aeon Labs DSC06106-ZWUS - Z-wave Smart Energy Switch for $30 right now with free shipping over $35. Not as good as thew $21 I got them for 6 months ago but still a good price.

Fulfilled by Amazon so customer service will be good.

Thanks. In practice, what’s the watt measurement resolution? What’s the lowest wattage it can measure/detect?

It’s detected as little as 1W usage on mine and it will show 0W if none used.

The manual: http://www.homecontrols.com/homecontrols/products/pdfs/AE-AeonLabs/AEDSC06106ZWUS_Manual.pdf

Awesome. I’ve been meaning to rig something up to detect when the washer or dryer is done, this should it.

One more question, since i didn’t see it mentioned in the manual, does it retain its last power setting when there’s a power loss?

Good question. I believe it does as I’ve had brown outs since I installed them and my fridge came back when the power came back up.

Based on these I took advantage of a deal for the older model of their whole house energy meter. Just gotta wait until I can get one of our electrically certified techs at work to come over and install it. I’m not about to go head to head with 150A myself.

Once again, thanks for the feedback. Ordering two, despite my wife saying “I don’t need to know when the washer is done…”

Yes, I go looking for trouble.

I feel the same way… My Wife would say the same thing, yet the washer will finish and will sit in there for hours until she realizes it finished! (Granted, I do the same thing!!) It would be nice to change a hue bulb to a certain color when the wash is done. Too bad there isn’t a 240 version so I could do the same with the Dryer :frowning:

I just ordered some more of these from a seller for $30 on EBay too. Amazon charges sales tax in my state so I was able to save a few dollars.

I use two of these as simple on/off modules and never had a problem.

Glad to see my post helped out people.

Doing my BF shopping today it seems. Plopped down $275 AR (Using Visa checkout with code NAFVC25) at NewEgg for a Lenovo TS140 server with Intel Xeon E3-1225 v3 3.2GHz 4GB to upgrade my current Blue Iris box. This is a very quiet server and also quite powerful. Hasn’t been this low since July and that was a v2 instead of this v3 unit.
