Does the new (gen5 / zwave plus) 4in1 multisensor from Aeon Labs work on a vera lite which is still running on UI5?
(i was looking for a outdoor sensor which reports temp and lux info, this sensor is suitable for outside and has these options and even more…)
I know that the ‘old’ 4in1 sensor works (because i got 1) on UI5, so i wanted to buy another one but only can find the new model ‘GEN5’ or Zwave plus version, the old version is out of stock everywhere in The Netherlands.
No one can tell me for sure if this new model works with UI5, it should work fine on UI7 but I don’t want to upgrade to UI7.
On UI7 a lot of plugins (which i use currently) are not compatible or do not exist for UI7, that is why I want to stay on UI5.
Who can tell me if this new 4in1 sensor works on UI5 or not?

Hi Bart –
I don’t know the answer but the chances are that it will not… Think it is designed to use the new Z-wave series 500 chip (Zwave+). Believe you need the Vera Edge controller for that. Also, believe MCV has not be modifying UI5 to handle new z-wave device offerings.

As a workaround, you might see if it’s working with the wink hub–I’m not interested in moving to UI7 yet either, but an interested in some of the Zwave plus devices. This was suggested to me as an alternative.

Hi
Please let us know if the wink hub works itch this device.
Don
What settings you have made to make it works?
I pass all steps of instruction below (thanks to Aeotec support) but sensor does not detect motion. I use Vera Lite UI5 and AEO_EZW074
Add as “Generic Device”
1.1 If Vera fails to send security node, then unpair the device and try again
Go to “Advanced” under the Generic Sensor
Device type changed to “urn:schemas-micasaverde-com:device:MotionSensor:1”
Device file changed to “D_MotionSensor1.xml”
The Sensor May or May not disappear, if it disappears then unpair or factory reset the device and return to step 1.
Go to “Device Options” under the Generic Sensor
Click on “Add new configuration”
Variable = 5
Size = 1 byte dec
Desired Value = 2
Before saving this, wake up the Multisensor momentarily by pressing and holding down the button and then click the save button on the top right side of the UI5 interface.
are you able to make z wave plus sensor to work on UI5? vera support tried and it didn’t work so they said me to change to UI7, I migrated and its nightmare, basic thermostat is not working (web UI is work but iOS app it will not display fan NO/OFF or even you can not increase/decrease the temperature ), if it works then let me know
Thanks in advance
Thanks,
