Aeon 4in1 - cannot configure or poll

Hello

I am trying to configure the Aeon 4in1 to Vera lite. I can pair it, but cannot configure or poll. I get error messages like : Failed: Setting user configuration and cannot get information from node.

I have tried to follow a number of the instructions posted here, but not working.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks

H

First off, have you got your Multisensor running the latest firmware? http://aeotec.com/partner/z-wave-firmware/viewcategory/7-multisensor

Then, have you tried this sequence? http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,3831.msg102469.html#msg102469

Hi thanks for this.

I have updated the firmware, thank you for that.

But, still nothing. Is there a compatibility problem with OS? Should I be running everything from the PC?

Thanks again

Sorry I should have been more specific.

I am still getting the following message when I try yo configure:

Failed at: Setting User Configuration

And the following message when I try to poll:

Node never responded

My default settings are slightly different than the ones set out here:

http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,3831.msg102469.html#msg102469

For example - the first default configuation is for

1-Primary Sensor (1=temp 2=humidity 3= light)

There is nothing about motion here (and that seems counter to what the instructions say - that the primary (parent) sensor should be motion)

Thanks

H

Are you running the latest firmware on your Vera? To upgrade, see: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,14189.0.html

Hi, thanks. Yes I am.

Take a few screen shots of your setting and post them here.
Are you using USB power or batteries? USB power supports polling.
Sounds like you may have some issues with your setting in the Device Options tab.

I had trouble with the Multi Sensor also. I tried so many things I can’t remember exactly what I did to get it working. Try pressing the button on the multisensor to force a poll.

I benefited from all the information on this site. Thank you. I have it mostly working.

 1. As mentioned elsewhere, try a different USB cable. The packaged cables are often faulty.
 2. Replace the batteries. The packaged batteries has issues that gave me communication errors.
