Aeon 4 in 1 Sensor Issues

I hooked up and successfully and Aeon 4 in 1 Sensor to my new Veralite. All seemed well until I mounted the sensor over the main condo entrance door in the kitchen. Even though our condo is small, the Veralite hub is in the back bedroom and the kitchen is down a L-shaped hall so for all practical purposes the sensor is in one corner of the condo and the hub in the other. I am assuming a weak signal problem and have ordered an Aeon signal repeater to plug in somewhere in-between.

A couple questions:

In the Vera dashboard under devices, the Aeon motion sensor part shows it is not connected. However the temperature, humidity and light part show readings. Although the light reads 157%! Are these just bogus readings?

Assuming it is a weak signal problem and I solve that issue, will the Aeon sensor and hub automatically reconnect or do I have to remove the sensor and re-acquire it (every time the connections is lost?)?

How do I check to see if I have the current firmware for the Aeon sensor? How do I update if needed?
