Advice on alarm integration

I am new to vera and looking for advice on residential alarm integration. I currently have an Ademco Vista 10S (I think that is right). I have done some forum searches and it appears that there aren’t a lot of snap on modules (if any) to integrate my current system. I saw a post where it looks like there is a 2DS in beta testing but I wasn’t sure if that is what I would need (or if it is even compatible w/ a 10S). Can I integrate this system into vera, or am I looking at getting new alarm equipment? If new equipment I would be interested in good value for the money that I might be able to expand features over time.
