Ademco Vista Alarm Panel Plugin PIN code memory?

I noticed that every time I restart my Vera Lite, save any changes, or if the unit has to run through a z wave heal, I have to manually input the PIN code into the plugin device before I can arm/disarm my alarm. After it’s entered the first time I do not have to re-enter the PIN for arm/disarm until the next reboot. Is there a way for the PIN code to be stored so I don’t have to manually enter it after every single reboot or heal? Or is this a security feature and it’s totally a bad idea to store my alarm PIN in the Vera unit?

It is common practice to not store security pins in the unit for security reasons.

Thanks for the explanation!

“common practice” as it relates to security measures is a bit of an oxymoron no? Given how many big companies these past oh so many years have shown just how uncommon good security practices are. ;D
