Adding multiple devices in UI7

Hi, sorry for the simple question, but I couldn’t find an answer with a simple search.

Is there a way to add multiple devices at once in UI7? I’m trying to migrate from a Vera2 UI5 to the new Vera Secure, and am heeding the advice about upgrading being better by unpair/re-pair. However, I’ve got like 85 devices, and it’s growing tedious do do one at a time. I initially did a few lights and one sensor just to test out the unit, but now I’ve got to get the rest set up.

Is there any way to do this en masse, or must I go through the house for 12 hours meticulously adding each device separately?

Hi,

You have a large network and I understand how useful would it be for you to be able to add multiple devices at once but that’s not possible. You’ll have to individually exclude and re-include each device.

Do you still have the battery pack for your Vera 2 ?
You can put your Vera 2 into exclude and exclude all of your devices first … Just keep your Vera 2 in exclude mode and go from device to device to device …
I would exclude each one twice … just in case …
Then just use your new Vera to include the new devices.

What would happen if you did a back up to a UZB stick and then used that UZB in your new controller?

In theory it should work as all you need are the devices, not the OS.

Thank you all. One by one it is.

I have run around the house unpairing batches of devices at once from the Vera2, so that wasn’t so bad.

I will say, especially coming from some pretty old hardware, that the new one is much much faster. It’s not as bad as I’d thought it would be to add new ones.

Just an update for anyone interested - you can add multiples at once in UI7. I did so accidentally.

Was running around removing things, and one device was apparently still in pairing mode after being unpaired. I went to add a different device through the UI7 wizard and they both were added. One of the devices skipped the wizard steps and showed up in the dashboard without name or room - the wizard asked me about the other device. So appears you can add multiple and then just go name them after.
