I’m trying to get a FOSCAM Security Camera to take ~30 seconds of pictures through VERA when an ARMED HSM100 Motion sensor is tripped. This is opposed to activating the FOSCAM when the HSM100 is merely tripped in a bypassed state.
The Problem: The HSM100 and Camera are next to each other in a corridor and look on to the front door. Since I pass through the corridor during the day, I end up activating the sensor/camera all the time. I have set lights to come on only when an ARMED HSM100 is tripped, but am unable to do the same with getting the FOSCAM to take pictures.
I am very close to getting it to work, but can’t quite get there. Under FOSCAM settings, I can select for the pictures to be taken whenever the HSM100 is merely tripped in any state. And then in the HSM100 settings, I can elect for a notification to be sent when the HSM100 is either merely tripped or tripped WHILE ARMED.
I have the notifications set-up and working, where the ARMED motion sensor is tripped and I receive an email from VERA telling me the time. Also, when I log-in to cp.mios.com and looks at my notifications, I see that there is more detail to the message, including a ‘NO CAMERAS NEARBY’ message.
I also understand and have been changing the Tripped/Motion duration on the HSM100 via Parameter 2 on its configuration page.
I feel that I have all the pieces, but I can’t quite put them all together!
