3G dongle on VeraEdge?

Anyone knows of a 3G dongle (manufacturer/model/type) that works with VeraEdge? If special installation instructions are needed then this is much appreciated as well! Many thanks

Right now the USB port is not functional in the edge due to a bug. So information will be very limited if any of it is available.

Sorry for reviving this old topic. I?m looking for a 4g backup internet connection for my Vera Edge in case my ISP fails. Will something like, say, the Huawei E3372, work if I plug it to the Vera edge?s USB port? Or is the USB port still not functional?

The USB port should be functional on the VeraEdge as the latest firmware seems to have an option for a 3G backup USB dongle.

Another apology for reviving an old thread. I tried a Sierra 320C 4G wireless dongle last night and it lit up for a moment and then shut down. i know it works on my laptop, but no luck on the VeraEdge…

Is there a list of supported dongles??

Cheers,
JB

Id like to know as well. Is the USB port still broken on an edge?

VeraEdge USB port is functional and third-party devices will work, but they might require additional configuration/drivers, which might not be an easy task for the regular users.

As an example, these are the hardcoded list of 3G/4G modems.
This does not mean that configuration will be plug and play and/if the mobile ISP/modem combo will work out of the box. If not manual config might be required.

I have tested E3372h-153 both versions (hilink and non-hilink) and this one does NOT work, but I have E3131 (non-hilink) so I will test it.

I’m testing it now, but it seems to be non-working combination…
LED is blinking blue - so there is 3G coverage, but Vera Plus (current = 1.7.3232 firmware) don’t see it.
(“The 3G dongle is not plugged in, cannot enable 3G WAN failover. Plug in the 3G dongle and click the refresh button.”)

Modem is E3131 non-hilink branded T-mobile (PL, with T-mobile Internet Manager instead of Mobile Partner) - under SIM near SIM-slot there is full model E3131s-2
