I moved into a house that previously used Vivint Service hence have a lot of 2gig devices and sensors that were previously used with Vivint Sky Panel. I am looking to see if I can get a controller that will allow me to remotely control and receive notifications if these sensors are triggered. Does anyone have any experiences with these? Will any of Vera like Vera Plus or Secure will connect directly to these sensors? Please share your experience, if these will work with veraplus or secure so I can order one right away!
I know the CT100 is compatible with the Vera family of controllers. The door bell seems to be a z-wave device. If they are all z-wave, a Vera controller should work fine.
The only piece that is usable by Vera is the Thermostat. Everything else says it is a 345mhz wireless device. That means it is a wireless security device that is designed to only work with security systems. In addition almost none of the wires security devices are usable on other system (for example you get use a DSC wireless sensor with w GE control board. Most of them are brand specific). Unfortunately Unlike some of the other security panels there is no way to integrate the Vera with the 2Gig control board either.
Wired sensors an are generally universal and will work with various brands. So for example you get A DSC panel to talk to the sired sensors and configure the Vera to integrate wth the DSC system.
Doesn’t sound like there is much you can do to bring these together as is.
Current list of compatible 345Mhz 2GIG devices is the following, and can be seen on any VeraSecure if you go to Devices->Add devices-> Search for 2gig
Make sure you have TXID id number on them, to be able to be added to Vera. Otherwise they cannot be paired without this information.
Great info! I hope to be moving away from Vivint and moving to VeraSecure soon. Question: What is a TXID for the 2Gig devices and how do I find it for my devices?
