As anybody use the 2GIG sensors. I noticed they are $25 on Amazon. About half what Aeon or Hawking.
Are they Z-Wave sensors?
It says they are. Goto Amazon and search for
2gig 2GIG-DW10-345 Dw10-345 Thin Door/window Contact
I can tell you just from the model # they are NOT Z-wave.
I have a 2-Gig system, and a Honeywell (Ademco) Vista 20P both with wireless.
they use “345” MHz transmitters, look at the part #… that would be your hint, also check eBay, you will see they are for the Ademco/Honeywell/2Gig wireless system, you need an alarm panel to use these door contacts.
Here is the PDF on the unit, you can clearly see it operates on 345Mhz.
I saw these yesterday on amazon also. They are tagged zwave, but they’re not really zwave.
The HRDS1s have been out of stock for a while. They work great (I have 4) with vera. They show $50 now, but were $36 not too long ago and prime eligible. I’m waiting for them to get back to that price to pick up a couple more.
I guess it’s been mis-tagged. what a shame, great price if it was really zwave. I have 1 Hawkings and 1 Aeon door sensor. I have not had them long enough to tell which one I like better. I like the external wire connections of the Hawking. I have 2 doors wired in series for 1 sensor. So that came in handy. If you seem them on sale again, let us know. I need bunch more.
Oops. wrong category. I hate when i do that.
