It depends. On what type of switch you are talking about. If the switches are scene capable(Z-Wave controllers) then you can associate them and have one control another.
If the switches are not scene capable, then you can use a Vera scene that is triggered by the activation of one of the switches. The scene turns on the second switch.
They are intermatic ca600 dimmers. Are they capable to be scene controllers? I think I understand doing it with a vera scene but how would I get the dim levels to match?
thanks
Yes, the CA600 are scene capable and associating them with each other will get you the desired results. The direct associations should keep them in sync.
Using Vera scenes and triggers, as I described in my previous post, would not allow you to keep the dim levels in sync.
That would be great. I will try it tonight. Thanks for the advice.
How exactly do I associate them? I have the two devices in my control panel and when I go to properties I get a bit confused. In the advanced tab am I supposed to change the “controlled by”, “id_parent”, “configuredassoc”…? I am lost any ideas?
Thanks
