Has anyone upgraded to the new firmware 1245 and had the remotes continue to control their zwave devices as secondary controllers? (although the 890’s or AVL’s believe they are primary)

I will not upgrade at this point if I lose their functionality. The control of all the zwave devices with a remote is critical for my installation.
If 1245 is not compatible is there a way to stop the firmware upgrade prompt from appearing?
