Hi all,
I finally have all my zwave, Insteon/x10 and DSC alarm all setup and taking to Vera. I have Zstick that I bought to make the device enrollment process easier but I can’t find any definitive instructions on how to use it. I’m running vera3 with ui5. Any help or pointing in the right directin would be appreciated. Thanks.

I really want to avoid having to drag Vera all overthe place to include the wall switches and the tstat.
It’s advertised as a solution - include them with the stick and then plug the stick not Vera but clearlytere’s much more involved and I can’t find docs on this anywhere.
(There’s something sadly comical about someone bumping their post only 13 hours later. It’s a world forum, some of us were asleep when you posted the first message.)
Searching the forum for Z-Stick (with the hyphen) will turn up some other posts that you won’t have seen. The forum search software is very picky so you have to ask it exactly what you are looking for. Other useful search terms: USB, dongle, Aeon Labs.
It isn’t clear to me whether you are trying to:
- Pretend the internal Z-Wave chip in the Vera doesn’t exist, and to use the external USB dongle as the primary controller. This thread may help.
- Use the internal Z-Wave chip in the Vera as a primary, and the USB stick for secondary inclusion. This thread may help.
