I have just purchased one of these single paddle wall controllers which according to the vendor is fully supported in the Vera lite. I am running UI7.
Including the device was no problem and it shows up as a scene controller. The initial device configuration appears to have worked fine, as it shows up without any errors and a functioning battery level indicator.
According to the instructions parameters 13 and 14 should be set to 3 in order for it to operate as a scene controller. So I have added these two variables in the device options and saved the changes. But then when I hit “configure node now” followed by waking up the device I only get a message back saying “unable to get any information from node”.
If I remove the two variables I had added, followed by a new save and forced configure, the configuration completes without any error messages. So it seems the device will not respond to or accept a new configuration containing the added parameters 13 and 14. I have tried adding them both at once and one at a time, as well as with the Vera on both battery and wall power with it and the device only inches apart.
I am aware of the process required to get it correctly mapped to scenes but I cannot even get that far unless I can get it to respond to changes of parameters.
According to the documentation, manual wake up causes it to stay awake for only 2 seconds. Seems to me that’s hardly long enough to complete the configuration.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: I just realized that it comes up after the initial inclusion (which I have repeated several times just in case with no difference in result) without any default values on parameters 13 and 14. This indicates it did not configure itself properly to begin with.
