Zigbee SMC sensors on Rogers smart home monitoring

Hi everyone, found the forums and was hoping to get answers I can’t seem to get answered.

First, I’m a Rogers technician, Installing SHM which as far as I can tell, is simply the canadian version of your Vera systems.
I’ve got 7 years experience in cable and telephone, and about 4 weeks on SHM.

I’m looking for a place to bounce ideas and possibly get answers in regards to problems that seems to stump my “authorities” on this project.

Up here we are using a blend of SMC, Icontrol, and Visonic.
I believe the touchpad is similar if not the exact same as what’s being used in the Vera set up.

I’m finding many issues with the system, takeover PIMs, and otherwise, but for right now, I’m looking to find out if anyone knows anything about the SMC motion detectors.
SMCMT01-Z.
The problem we are coming across is that it seems to fail to trip when set in an arm away status.
(This is the only status which they activate up here).

The initial walk test set off by the tamper switch works flawlessly. But after that 4 minute window, it fails to trip.
In any location of the house, in any environment.

My Theory? The motion trips once, and since it should never need to trip continuously, it conserves power and there is a lull period before it can arm again.

This timeframe seems to be proportionate to the size of the area it covers.

Does anyone know, or can anyone provide me an explanation on how this sensor operates?
And/or why it seems to have such a difficult time picking up motion? We do have a Visonic motion, but installations are on hold till they identify an issue with the pet detection function.
Till we get the go ahead, the SMC is all I got.

Thanks in advance.

My error. It is similar if not identical to Xfinity by comcast, I believe Vera is ADT? And not at all similar…
