Is there such a z-wave device that can be programmed with several announcements that can be triggered by vera? I’ve done some digging and can’t seem to find a plug’n’play device that has a built in speaker that can have programmed anouncements.
I was thinking about having recorded messages such as these:
- Welcome Home.
- Intruder Alert.
- Laundry complete. [url=http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,9506.0.html]http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,9506.0.html[/url]
Seems like this would be a useful device.
Does anyone know of a way of doing this?

Agree, A path that some folks are headed down are things like the Sonos plug-in… Presumes of course that you are already invested in Sonos or Squeezbox…
