I have the one button version and just want it to work as a ordinary on/off switch (to be used to trigger scenes using PLEG or the built-in scene rules).
I have successfully added the device to my Vera Edge and added the following configurations:
Variable 12, 1 byte dec, Desired value = 1
Variable 14, 1 byte dec, Desired value = 2
I got the same switch since yesterday and managed to get the basic stuff to work, although I must admit I’m still trying to understand the manual.
I use it in combination with the Vera Edge. For button 2 and 4 to connect to, let’s say Device 99 I think the variables should be set as follow:
Variable 12, 1 dec, 1
Group 3 set to 99
What I think this does: Variable 12 is to control group B. Value 1 = Switch on/off and dim (that’s what I understand from the manual, but I can be wrong, I have a wall switch that has no dimming, but it works this way).
In the manual it says at group 3 that it’s group b, controlled by button 2, or 2 and 4.
I used the following guide as reference:
But I really don’t know why the author added variable 14. I think it just does nothing because it works fine without.
A couple of important things I found out:
Always check the Advanced → Variables and double check that “VariableSet” and “VariableGet” are what you expect them to be. In my experience when I delete some variables or groups they sometimes still show up the device.
If some variables are in the VariableSet and VariableGet: Unpair the device, Set it to factory defaults (management mode, button 3, 4 sec button 4) and start over by adding the device again.
By using the back button the settings will be stored, most of the times. When it’s trying to store the settings, set the device in management mode and press button 2.
If it doesn’t try to store the settings by using the back button, go to advanced, commands and Configure node right now and press the back button.
I just received my switches today, and they register as “Generic_IO”. Do they do that for you guys too?
Also, is it really necessary to set group 3 to a device? I, like the OP, want it to send on/off to my veralite, not directly to some other unit. For some of the other switches I will want dimming and direct control, but this one should just fire a scene - either through PLEG or the built-in scenes.
Hi, just fresh here. Got My Vera Edge and some stuff yesterday. But after some hours I give up trying to get the ZME_WALLC-S to do what I want.
I added it as general device and it is seens as Wall Connector. So fat so good, but from now on I can’t follw what to do.
I added a scene “Go to Bed” and under the device I selected for button 4 this scene. But…nothing happens.
Could someone give some instructions please. I read the post from martijn, but not sure what has to be done. I also read the site in Sweden.

I have exactly the same problem. The device adds just fine, and it lets me change options and select scenes etc… but the buttons have no effect. I just want simple scene selection, so set the configuration settings to 0,0,5,5,5. I’ve put the device into “wake up” mode so it receives configuration info. I’ve followed Vesternet’s instructions (http://www.vesternet.com/resources/application-notes/apnt-69#.VYE-DKxBS-E) but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone have any ideas, or is there a fundamental incompatibility with UI7?
The wonderful tech support at Vesternet sorted this for me (and all credit to them - no way did the small price of the wall controller justify the time they spent).
With the latest Vera firmware you set options 11-14 to 8 and it should work (remembering you need to get vera to update node configuration and then wake the wall controller).

Really that’s it? Nothing else?
What about parameters: 1 and 2?
And then it works out of the box? Just assign a scene to a button and tada…?
EDIT: Just tried to set them to 8. Nothing happens. I did a factory reset to the controller first. So still not working
I have it as one big button, triggering one scene no matter which micro switch is pressed. My scene is triggered by the wall controller going to scene 0 (zero). That is working consistently for me. I haven’t tried different scenes for each button, but I expect some LUA would do the trick.
Click on Scenes in left menu
Click Add Scene Button
Select Trigger from Device
Find your wall controller in the list and tick
Select Trigger When Scene is Activated
Type in the scene numbers above in the Which Scene Number box
Click Validate
Complete the rest of the macro to give your desired result and give it a name and location
