To anyone?s knowledge are there any Z-Wave Capable Electrical Receptacles capable of 1,500 watts? Every Z-Wave controlled Electrical Receptacle that I’ve found is only good for 600 watts on the Z-Wave Side of the Receptacle. I need 1,500 watts on the Z-Wave Side of the Receptacle!
My need is that my Mountain House in the Rocky Mountains up at 8,000’ above sea level has outside air temperatures of down to minus 25 degrees Fahrenheit and if for some reason my semi new 2 stage Furnace fails to light when I’m in my California house I can have an oil filled radiator type heater plugged in and set for maximum heat in the Water System Alcove of my heated attached garage. This happened to me when I arrived two years ago and found all three toilets and most of my water system frozen that cost me quite a few thousand dollars plus of freeze damage. With Z-Wave control of one of my Electrical Receptacles if I get a warning I can save my water system!

stick with those oil filled heaters. the forced air ones should never ever be run unattended. lots of safety concerns there.

Thanks ever so much!! I’ve wasted days researching on Google and even physically checking Receptacles today at Lowes only to find that 600 watt restriction! I ordered one as soon as I saw your posting and if it works for a few days I’ll buy a second one as a spare. I’m amazed that it wasn’t that expensive and all the reviews highly recommended it.

Thanks for your reply. I experimented many times over the years with how well the Oil Filled Radiators radiated the heat and never even scorched flammable objects inches away! I was close to giving up finding the unit recommended by TC and seconded by you!!

I’ll keep this in mind. I’ve been in touch with Fibaro in the last few days especially where they are now making their products available for the U.S. Markets. From reading all the reviews of the Intermatic HA02C Home Settings Wireless Heavy Duty Plug-In Appliance Module I Bought a second one as a spare.

I really appreciate your input. I thought that I had explored everything that GE had to offer but I guess I didn’t. I had already figured that I’d need 1,500 Resistive Watts of load for my Oil Filled Radiator Heater but I just couldn’t find what you brought to my attention. Thanks again, Jim
