Z-Wave & 433.92 MHz Hybrid Network

Hi All,

I have started my home automation journey by getting the Vera Lite, Everspring Motion Detector and Everspring On/Off Socket. I am interested in exploring the 433.92 MHz route (primarily LightwaveRF) with the RFXtrx433 USB transceiver. I would appreciate if anyone could advise whether the following products would work in Vera Scenes through RFXtrx433 USB:

LightwaveRF Basic Remote On/Off Socket Kit
LightwaveRF Door & Window Sensor
LightwaveRF LED Light Twin Pack
LightwaveRF Dimmable CFR BC 20w 3 pack with Mood Remote
LightwaveRF Energy Monitor

Thanks a lot.

This question is probably best placed in the Advanced/Plugin & Plugin Devlopment/ section of this forum and then once there, look for the child board for the RFXCOM rtx433 plugin and check out lolodomo’s latest updates.

As with anything to do with the rtx433 transciever, the first thing to do is always to check if the rtx433’s firmware itself supports the device protocol you want to use, which for Lightwaverf it does.

Regarding the items you list, I have Light switches and on/off sockets and they work, I have no reason to think the other won’t either, but have a look at the link above for mor info…

Bump!

I am looking to do the same thing, but using the Swedish product Tellstick from the company Telldus (http://www.telldus.se/).

I have a functioning 433.97 MHz system in place but would like to make the transition to Z-Wave and Vera. However, it would be nice to keep some of my 433.97 MHz appliances.

Have anyone gotten the Vera to play nice with a Tellstick?

I’ve successfuly got some complex scenes running using:
LightwaveRF Lightswitch /Dimmers
LightwaveRF remote light switches (i.e the wall mounted remote controls in effect to use to trigger scenes)
Lighrwave power sockets
LightwaveRF Energy Monitor

All work fine, and pick up signals very quickly and reliably.

Sound promising! I actually bought a RFXtrx to replace my Tellstick, but did you get Vera to work with Tellstick, timrivett?

Sorry, I’ve never tried a tellstick, until your post I’d never heard of them.
