Your Vera Cloud Upgrade Is Ready: Choose Your Bundle Before August 1

Your Vera just got a major upgrade — with a lot more inside.

We've rebuilt the cloud behind Vera and kept it on a supported, long-term path — and we used the moment to add real value. Your service now includes a whole new Ezlo Sense and Alexa voice control — plus 20% off the new Z-Wave lineup.

Choose your bundle by July 31, 2026 to lock in everything below and keep your service running without interruption.

What's now included

Before you look at pricing, here's what just got added to your Vera experience — at no extra cost.

Free with your service · $60 value
A whole new Ezlo Sense
Ezlo Sense puts everything connected to your Vera in one place — every device, sensor and lock, in real time. It flags problems the moment they happen (a leak, a device offline, a low battery) and lets you build no-code automations that even work across Home Assistant. Included the day you choose a bundle.

Fully supported Alexa and Google Home integration
Control your Vera home hands-free. Your devices work with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, so you can run lights, locks and scenes with your voice.

Two ways to keep it all

Both bundles include the new Ezlo Sense and Alexa voice control. Pick the one that fits your home.

Am I the only one who is confused? Currently, I use the Iphone app or use my web browser to control hub/devices. I have one Vera Plus and one Ezlo Plus. My hub/hubs have routines. To continue with how I use it now, do I need to sign up for Ezlo Connection or Ezlo HARC? Technically, I am remotely accessing my hubs when I am away from home and using the Vera app on my Iphone. It is confusing when you mention HARC and Vera in the first sentence. In other words, do I only need HARC if I am doing want video storage?

So I have sent a support request for help on using the ip device configurator on an Ezlo hub to be able to control wemo switches and have not heard anything back but I’ll bet if I send a request for help with spending money they’d get right back.

Hi @sdtoddl, not just you. It’s a fair question and worth clarifying.

For your Vera Plus controller, remote access via the iPhone app, Ezlo Connection is all you need. That covers cloud access, the app, Alexa, Google Home, and your automations, everything you’re using today.

HARC adds two things on top: 90 days of cloud video storage, and a cross-controller cloud that works across different hub types (Vera, Home Assistant, and more). If you’re not using cameras, Connection is the right tier.

As for your Ezlo Plus controller, no subscription is needed there. This transition applies to Vera cloud services only. Your Ezlo Plus is not affected.

Hope that clears it up!

Does this mean if you use the Vera plugin on Alexa and have linked devices this will work without a subscription because that what is mentioned in your latest response seems to contradict the original post. I’m just trying to understand what functionalities will be affected by the subscription.

Thanks you

Hello @Tim88

Thanks for following up, and apologies for the impression that your request went unanswered — that’s not the case. We’ve replied on your support ticket with step-by-step guidance for controlling a Wemo switch through the IP Device Generator, along with an update on the Netatmo issue. Please take a look there and reply on the ticket so we can keep that conversation in one place; we’re ready to walk through the Wemo setup with you once you confirm the exact model.

Now, on the subscription question — happy to clear this up, because there’s an easy point of confusion here.

“Ezlo Connection” is the name of the plan itself (a subscription), not a free default. When we said “Ezlo Connection is all you need… everything you’re using today,” we meant that the entry-level plan is enough to keep everything you currently use working — not that those features are free. So:

  • Ezlo Connection ($2.50/month, billed yearly at $29.95) is the minimum plan that keeps your Vera Plus working as it does today: remote access through the app, Alexa & Google Home voice control, cloud access, and your automations.
  • To answer your specific question directly: the Vera/Alexa integration with your linked devices is a cloud service, so after July 31, 2026 it will require a subscription. The Ezlo Connection plan covers it — without any plan, that voice/cloud functionality would stop.
  • What stays free, with no subscription: local control of your controller and your Z-Wave/Zigbee devices on your own network. Your hardware remains yours and continues to run locally.

So there’s no contradiction — the cloud-dependent features (remote app access, Alexa, Google Home, push notifications, cloud relay) are what the subscription covers, and Ezlo Connection is simply the lowest tier that keeps all of those running for you.

If it’s helpful, let us know which specific automations and integrations you rely on and we’ll confirm exactly which tier fits, so there are no surprises before August 1.

Thank you for the response. I did see your e-mail and I replied to that about the Wemo issue.

Does this subscription apply to Ezlo Plus hubs?

There must still be a sizable number of Vera users if $35/year is enough to support maintaining infrastructure.

I have been looking to migrate but the Ezlo platform it’s just unable to support my use. When will my Ezlo Plus be a viable replacement for my Vera Plus?

Hi Tim,

Would love to hear what’s missing from ezlo for you, there have been many improvements in the past year and perhaps there are things which have been already fixed, or, things where we can prioritize development, let me know

I would have to go back and look but for one geofencing with multiple users. It’s been a while but for some reason I could not use a meshbot to trigger a virtual switch based on each users status, there was some limitation with meshbots. from what I can see there is no option like in the Vera to set home based on status of one user
I have a bunch of lua code for different scenes that uses device ids that would have to be totally redone. No way to get local weather to display.

What’s the situation re: cloud backups for zwave set ups, etc?

As part of the paid subscription is Ezlo planning to resolve the issues with the linked Vera devices showing as unresponsive and not properly reporting their state in Alexa?
Does a support ticket need to be created for this?

Hello @Tim88,

Yes, a new Amazon Alexa skill is in progress and will be launched soon.

How soon? Before or after we have to start paying?
I’ve heard the term ‘soon’ used many times on this forum and sometimes soon has been months, years and sometimes still hasn’t happened.
So ‘soon’ is subjective. Can we get an actual date?
Surely you should have a targeted release date.

Hello @Tim88,

The skill is currently undergoing QA testing, so it will be available soon
