After spending ages trying to install an Everspring Temp & Humidity Sensor, it constantly failed to accept an user commands (red light) .
No matter what I did or changed, the main parent device would go blue for a bit and then say “Setting User Configuration”, but the only way i could get the two to talk to each other was by forceing it through using the 3 clicks on the device approach.
In return it would only ever report that it “Failed At : Setting User Configuration”. When I looked at “configuration setting” under Device Option, it shows no Current Value and even more strange, the “Configured At” on the Setting Tab it shows 1-JAN-1970 00:00. No matter what I did, e.g Configure Node Right Now it would go blue for a bit and then back to red. ( temp or humidity readings were being updated occasionally but only after the 3 presses)
In the end I excluded it from Vera and included it again, but it still would not work and would not even update, then after a number of attempts ‘something’ has now made my Veralite unresponsive, and i’m now stuck on a yellow screen telling me that the “Luup engine is taking a long time to load” or , “did I want to reboot” or to "log a ticket with "MiCasaVerde "
I have tried to restart/reload/refresh the UI numerous times and I’ve also tried a number of reboots, including removing the power, but it still takes me back to the yellow “Luup taking too long” page. :(.
The addition of the ST814 have proved painfull and unsuccessful and it’s left me with an unusable unit and what I feel is a faulty device. I’ve logged a call with MiCasaVerde to help (still waiting) as I’ve invested a lot of time in my Veralite and this is my first major issue…
As soon as the message is received, try refreshing your browser not your Vera. First thing is back up…
There are more plugins running at start up and this maybe the causing the message.
I have received this but the refresh has always resolved it.
@Brientim - I had tried all methods or refreshing both browser and Vera previously but alas no joy, still on the yellow screen. I logged a ticket almost 24 hours ago but no reply yet, which makes me feel a little bit vulnerable as its used for security
Noticed some interesting entries in the log today : such as.
10:34:54 CheckCpuUsage count 5 sec 1209 idle 0 iSystem 8 delay 174
07:54:13 No reboot:CPUDiff: 1306 Now:1346392452
etc, etc.
@eletricessence - how long did it take you to get a reply from MiCasaVerde Support? What did they do? Did you have remote access enabled for them? What was your issue?
UPDATE : I have just received an email from Micasverde so cross fingers they can fix it. I had t allow them access
Hummm, not sure where you are in the world, but mine occurred last night (UK time) too? Coincidence ?
* Just had an email from MCV to tell me that my unit should be working now, but sadly checking it, it’s not - and to top it off - they’ve closed my ticket down without my confirmation ?
Update : MCV have just updated me to say that they were able to restore my unit, but unfortunately in the process all my settings were lost. Not ideal but at least it’s back. I just hope I can find a recent back up. :-\
UPDATE : Sadly all my local back ups failed, so thank god all my recent copies are stored against my MIOS online account (which I did not know).
Hi Electricessence, As far as I can tell the backup I restored from has taken back to a place before I installed the Everspring Temp/humid Sensor ST814 and nothing ‘seems’ missing.
I’ve (re)include the ST814, but using baby steps on what I do to configure it as that’s what caused this whole thread
