As the title says, I picked up some very cheap Yale deadbolt smart locks only to find after purchasing them that they are equipped with Zigbee radios. Needless to say, I’m having issues pairing them to my Vera Edge. Does anyone know if these Zigbee radio equipped units will work with Vera? I see that the Zwave modules can be purchased seperately here: http://www.amazon.com/Yale-Z-wave-Module-Electronic-CP2-5-3/dp/B00QBQBVAA but frankly this is more than I paid for the locks so I’d rather get these working if at all possible.
There is no direct way for the ZigBee locks to interface with vera . however the veraplus due out any year now will have ZigBee and may or may not work with the locks. Also you could try a wink controller and use the wink app to indirectly control the locks.
Thanks for the reply. I’ve decided to either try getting the ZWave modules at a reasonable price or returning the locks to the seller since by the time I purchase the modules at full price, I may as well have bought them directly from the manufacturer.
