I have just purchased my Vera Lite and will hopefully slowly migrate my exsisting x10 infrastructure to z-wave. However I’m having issues using my my CM11a.

The Mochad plugin doesnt support the CM11a so I tried the following options.

My problem is, the Devices A1 and A2 that were automatically created doesnt work, additionally, I have no idea how to add new devices like a dimmer switch or monitor for my motion sensors.
The only x10 devices I have are simple appliance modules, some dimmer switches, a RF remote with receiver and motion sensors…

Also, I have a insteon 2414u but as I understand it, I cannot use it to control X10 or Insteon as its not supported. I hope I dont have to invest into another $80 insteon controller in order for my x10s to work…

First, the good news… welcome to the forum. Glad to have you.

Now the bad news… As much as it might sound good to have slowly migrate from X10 to Z-wave, it is just not that easy with the Vera. Vera really only support Z-wave well, natively. Native X10 & Insteon support is nearly useless. Look into Altsteon plugin, it has very good Insteon support - not sure if it support the 2414u, which is was dropped by Insteon because it was bad design.

My suggestion, if you like Zwave then remove all your X10 and replace with Zwave at the same time. It is not going to be cheap but it will save you tons of time and headaches trying to get it all to work… which may not be able to anyway.

And as for X10 motion sensors, they do not work with Vera. You will need to use Mochad or what I use, EventGhost w/ CM19a.

If you need Zwave dimmers let me know, I have a bunch.
