Cool. Sadly, our new house has proven to be X10-proof, which is why we’re on to Vera and Z-wave. If anyone has house wiring that is amenable to X10 and is interested, we have an assortment of X10 switches, modules, CM11A and equivalents that I would part with cheaply. I even have a hardly-used ELK X10 signal meter that I was using to debug using stuff in the new house before I gave up. If you’re interested, drop me a note.

One of my driveway X-10 motion sensors just tripped and it updated on the dashboard.

Where does one go to get this version of the firmware? Sounds like the X-10 functionality is greatly improved with this release.

Mike, I haven’t seen your mail–and it’s been a few hours. I’ve checked and it doesn’t look like it gotten eaten by any sort of spam filter. You might try again, if you don’t mind.
So JOD, does this mean that if someone turns off an X-10 light switch manually, this change of status will be show up on the MIOS dashboard? If so, that would be very cool.

not unless the x-10 light was the kind that transmits a change (not many did)- BUT what you can do is use an x-10 controller/remote to send a command to the light to turn off and the insteon controller ‘hears’ the command on the line and updates vera.
There are many x-10 devices that can send such commands- as an example you can get a motion detector that would send an ‘on’ command to a particular device. You can make a bogus x-10 device in vera- say device I1 and call it “intruder”- then you set the x-10 motion sensor to send an on command to device i1. If the x-10 sensor sends the on command to i1 then the vera will show the “intruder” device to on. and you could then setup a scene that turns on all the lights in your house when the “intruder” device is on.
yep- that way works but for me at least if I click the trash button up top in UI4 it doesn’t delete. (top right corner is x to close, question mark for help then trash can to delete.
For other devices on UI4 the trashcan works for me to delete- but doesn’t seem to work for x-10.
Before i submitted a bug i wanted to see if anyone else saw the same thing.
