I have 240v electric baseboard heaters in every room and I’d like to replace my old 1980s line voltage thermostats with something a little smarter. I bought an Aube RC840T-240 Electromechanical Relay and wired it up and attached a new Honeywell thermostat. The thermostat works no problem but the heater seems to be running regardless of whether the thermostat has turned it on or not. I’m sure I just made some bonehead mistake wiring the relay, can someone spot where I went wrong?
Diagram seems ok. Did you reverse line and load? Just one relay box or more than one?

I eventually was able to determine that the relay was bad. One quick Amazon return later and I have a working thermostat!
