Has anyone used this before? Would love some feedback, it will really open up some doors for me.

Wow…I was just thinking something like this would be a great addition, but I never figured it would actually be out there. FOr $61, that could mean lots of reuse for older sensors.

I know, I couldnt believe it, and talking to so many security sales places, nobody mentioned this!

I’m debating whether or not I should return my ELK system and just go DSC with this thing so my Simon XT sensors will work. It will literally save me $800… I just dont want to sacrifice any future automation…

I’m waiting to pull the trigger on a DSC system until November 1st from HomeSecurityStore. That way I can try it out for longer. Usually a 30 day return period, but Nov 1 - Dec 29 gets you until Jan 31st. Since I have to order things slowly and figure it out, that gives me extra time to bench test it.

What specifically are you going to order? We have the same setup coming from the simon, and this product just allowed us to keep all our wireless sensors. I’m going to play with the elk this weekend but may go DSC if there is no progress in sight for the plugin.

I was going to start with the 1832 kit

That includes a keypad with wireless receiver…I asked on another forum how that receiver compares to a regular one, but haven’t heard back yet.

My SimonXT has no problem picking up any sensor, so I’m probably ok. With the translator, probably even better coverage.

Also debating between the Envisalink 3 or IT-100.
