Wireless portable thermostat for zwave

I have a single heating & cooling zone on the second floor of my house. I currently control it through Vera and a Trane zWave thermostat. The problem I’m having, is that depending on the scenario (heating vs. cooling) and the season, the thermostat should be located in different rooms. One solution to this problem would be to have a wireless thermostat that I could move from room to room. Is there a zWave compatible solution for this?

I’m not aware of one in the U.S./North America, but I do believe there’s one in Europe (Horstmann HRT-4 + ASR receiver).

They aren’t thermostats, but what if you put a temp sensor in the areas you want to monitor?
Then you could write scenes based on the sensor value, and update the thermostat set points to something to cause the heat or AC to kick on.

Not a perfect solution. . .but I believe you can tell your tell your Trane to offset the actual temp with the temp it will be operating with a few degrees +/-. Hypothetical - So in the summer you tell it +3, since the thermostat is on the 2nd floor and it’s hotter up there than the rest of the house??

Just a thought, b/c I too don’t know of a dual input thermostat. As PurdueGuy said, you could potentially get one of the all-in-one motion/temp/humidity sensors and put it somewhere else and have it trigger events to your T-stat?

Verify the enrollment of the thermostat. Scroll down to “Thermostat Info” and press the “Select” button. Look at the number listed after ZNID. If the number listed is anything other than “000” the thermostat was successfully enrolled. If the number listed is “000” then the thermostat has NOT been successfully enrolled. Try enrollment again or verify that the thermostat is not currently part of another network.

Not exactly the same but this Other thread overlaps and some of the solution maybe worth a look at their applicability.
