Hello. New to the forum.
I have been reading up on posts, and am pretty confused.
My goal is to have an alarm system (DSC) that uses broadband connection and GSM as a backup. I want to be able to enroll in monthly monitoring.
I want to setup the alarm first, and then later move into some home automation using a Vera Lite.
I am looking at this package as a starter.

- Will this system integrate with a VeraLite?
- If it does integrate what other components do I need to get this system to work with the VeraLite?
I know I am going to get the good old “please search” comments. I have been searching but this is a overwhelming subject for a newbie.
Ok after some more researching I now that the package I linked to above is not correct.
This system here seems more up my alley.

The 1832 board would have more than enough zones for my small house.
My question is now, can this unit be monitored via IP and/or GSM? If so I can’t figure that part out.
And now upon further research it doesn’t seem like I need IP alarm monitor.
I think going with GSM 2060 will be fine for monitoring and then I’ll do my personal interface using IP through the Vera. Does that sound right?
