Will my current locks work?

I am very new to this project don’t even receive my Vera3 until next week. But I do already have locks with some in use & some to be installed after painting is done during a extensive remodel on our house.

I have 4 BE469 Touch Screens with different FW versions -

1 = 5.6 / 1 = 5.7 & 3 = 5.8.

I have read that some have issues with 5.6? If so is there a fix?

I also have 3 Camelot Touch Pad versions, hav en’t found any FW versions on them like the Touch Screens. Is there any know issues with this type of lock?

Last one is a Kwikset :

Model: 912TNL TRL ZW 11P SMT
Function: Smartcode Lever with Z-Wave

Will this one also work ?

Any tips or advice will be appreciated to cut down on issues with my new installs.

Thanks

The Kwikset lock with Z-Wave will work fine with Vera 3. I have three of them in use with UI5.

The Schlage touchscreen appears to have issues (or, perhaps it’s Vera that has issues). Thirty-three pages of them here:

Thanks I have read quite a few post from past but it seemed to depend on the FW version? The timeline was also very hard to follow for when which FW. Versions worked better & also for how the FW. was upgraded to fix issues?

The Kwikset I have is for an inside door so it matches all inside door hardware better. I preferred the Schlage for their better code entry & the fact that I have had extremely good service out of my past Schlage Keypads that didn’t have Zwave capability.

After more searching I have concluded that it is possible to update FW thru Nexia so I may set it up for a month to receive the updates.

Others have contacted Schlage support about upgrading the firmware. I understand that support is very responsive, and offers a free replacement for locks with the older firmware. Might be something to try before going to all that effort with Nexia.

Thanks

Ill try to contact support I just thought it may be easier to just use Nexia for updating than sending in so many locks for replacement or upgrading. I still have all existing non Zwave locks so I guess if I have to it could work though.

Do you know if there is a cost for this?

and offers a free replacement

As I recall, only 5.6 or earlier had problems, so you would only have to replace the one.

Thanks I only have one 5.6 the rest are 5.7 & 5.8 so maybe it wont be so painful.

I installed all locks today with no major issues accept for the FW 5.6 that is. Schlage C.S. was extremely helpful & immediately said they would replace the FW 5.6 within 7 days at no charge, WOW!!!
