Will 2 scenes execute at the same time?

Hello, I am new to this forum and tried to search for my issue without success so wanted to ask.
I have veralite and configured two scenes that are to execute at dusk, one scene turns on a light in the living room and is assigned to that room called “light timer on” and the second scene turns off the bird bath at dusk called “bird bath off” and is assigned to the patio.
It seems that it will intermittently fail to run one of the scenes. Do I need to only have one scene at a designated time or are multiple scenes permitted to execute at the same time. There is no special coding, I just use what is available in the menus.

Yes, you can have multiple scenes run at the same time.

I am at a loss for why the two different scenes executing at the exact same time (dusk to the second in view schedules) would sometimes only execute one if them. Tonight my light came on at dusk but the bird bath did not go off. I manually (via phone app) turned it off. Communication is ok as there has never been an issue with the switch being about 25 feet away from Vera thru one wall (window not cement or siding). Manually it never fails to turn on or off via the Vera UI. This same scenario failed when I had a light that turned off at 11pm using one scene and a second scene that turned on another light. One or the other would sometimes fail to execute.

Have a look at the vera logs…

Thanks RoyR, I changed the scene to turn on a light at dusk and then 30 seconds later to turn off the birdbath. That seemed to be working until last night I noticed the birdbath still on at 10pm even though the light was on as expected. So it is intermittent. I will look at the logs as you suggest but I do need to review the links you point to as my log seems to start when I open the browser and point to http://myIPaddress/cgi-bin/cmh/log.sh?Device=LuaUPnP. I need to try the ssh login or maybe I need to add a USB jump drive for logging. - Steve.

I will wager that the birdbath is in a fringe area of your Z-Wave network and does not always receive a reliable signal. See about improving signal to the birdbath control device.

Thanks RoyR for pointing me to the logs, I could see a com-error when the birdbath was to turn off.
And thanks Z-Waver, I plugged in a GE/Jasco light module between the VeraLite and the birdbath switch module. That seems to have improved the signal and can see the routing change in the log. It has been reliable so far. What got me off in the wrong direction was that it “Always” worked in the morning to turn on the birdbath but was about 50-50 at turning it off. I guess maybe it was due to sitting between the VeraLite and the switch while watching TV when the off scene was run. Great forum and thank you so much! ;D
