Why would two Intermatic devices excluded themselves during power outage?

In the past two months I have lost connectivity with a Intermatic CA3000 on/off switch in my half bath; I found it blinking waiting to be included in November while still using my Vera3. I migrated to a VeraEdge in mid December. Last night we had a brief power outage and I lost both this switch and another Intermatic CA600 dimmer in my entryway (also blinking).

Totally confused how this can happen let alone how to stop it from happening again. Anyone else experience or able to explain how this happened?

Dying switch loses it’s memory without power? Probably a failed or failing capacitor.

Solution: Replace switch.

Yeah my thought too . I didn’t realize these devices would have such a short operating life.
