Why is the VeraMate (Free) iPad addition $3.99?

Tried to get rid of the Ads in the Vera App I was trying out on my iPad mini mounted as a wall controller. Went to make an instore purchase and could’t tell the difference between the 2 versions showing up for purchase so, since I have an iPad, I logically assumed that that was the correct one. Guess I was wrong. Now I have a $3.99 version that still has annoying ads at the bottom and says free. And you can only get rid of the rating nag if you rate it 5 stars. Really?

Hi Roger

The 2 descriptions are

iPad Version

Activate the iPad version of VeraMate Free.

This ONLY includes the unrestricted ability to use the iPad with VeraMate. It will not include any other features that may be available for premium users.

AdFree

Remove ads from your VeraMate Free. This will take affect across all of your devices.

This upgrade is ONLY to remove ads. It will not include any other options available to premium users, or other in-app purchases.

These in-app purchases are only for the options they’ve specified, the iPad activation to recoup the cost of the extra development. The premium version is a discount over getting these 2 separately as it gives you everything.

I’m sorry you had some confusion, but you are welcome to a refund by contacting Apple.
