I was having trouble with one lamp module that was probably just too far away so I bought and installed a Aeon DSD37-ZWUS Range Extender. I installed it physically between my lamp module in the family room and my other Z-wave devices more in the middle of the house. I noticed that it showed up in my Vera webpage app next to the family room lamp module. Don’t know if that is just a coincidence or because it knew it was supporting that device.
In any event. To my surprise it’s showing up in Vera with an On and Off designation and it seems like it’s always off. I just turned it back on in Vera and will look at it tomorrow. Why would this have an on-off setting and any idea why it keeps getting set to off?

The repeater has no real knowledge of the lamp module, except for the possibility of routing.

The repeater is assigned to a switch class by Vera. So Vera thinks it is a switch/relay. But, the repeater has no functions whatsoever. Switching it On/Off does absolutely nothing! It gets set back to Off because Vera eventually polls the repeater and Vera returns its state indicator within Vera to Off.
If the repeater is plugged into a powered outlet, it is functioning. There is no actions for the repeater and its configuration options are very limited. The only question you need to worry about is; did the lamp improve?
