Hi guys,
I’ve just spent the last few hours upgrading my PLEG for my alarm system to incorporate fault monitoring of sensors.
I was just wondering if anyone else tries to do belt and braces setups?
What I’ve done is create a virtual switch for faulty sensor and one for faulty sensor bypass.
If any of my motion sensors is triggered constantly for more that 5 mins or the widow or door for more than 24 hours the fault switch turns on.
If the fault switch is on and you try to arm the alarm it will play a tts warning and return to a disarmed state.
You can then either fix the sensor, change the battery etc, or go onto the web browser from the computer, set the sensor to bypassed in the home modes screen and also turn the sensor bypass virtual switch on.
This way your cannot set the alarm with an existing perceived fault and can act or bypass and still use the alarm.
Since we are in the house 80% or more of the time between this should minimise any issues with triggered alarms. I hope lol
