Which Leviton switch to buy?

I’m a little overwhelmed with he available options and I’ve been reading through the reviews to make sure I purchase what I need, I’ve just got the micasaverde shipped to me and I’m looking to use it with a Leviton switch as it seems to be the best option in terms of quality, response time, etc (based on my research).

I’m just confused as to what switch I need, I was looking at one and then in the reviews I read that it wasnt actually a switch but a controller so now I’m looking at this one Leviton VRI06-1LZ… I just need and on/off/dimmable switch that I can operate from micasaverde.

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated

It sounds like you need the Leviton VRI06-1LZ Vizia RF + 600W Dimmer.

If you intend to install in a 3-way or n-way configuration then you should also use the Leviton VP00R-1LZ, Vizia + Digital Matching Remote Dimmer for the remote switches.

Why do you need the second one? and what is meant by Scene Capable? like this one?

The “second one” that I linked to, the remote switch is used for 3-way or n-way installations where two or n-more switches control the same load(light). This is a common configuration for rooms with multiple entrances or on stairways where the stair light has a switch at both the top and bottom of the stairs.

Scene capable means that the switch can be used to activate scenes and associated devices. The one that you linked to VRS15-1LZ is an On/Off switch where as the VRI06-1LZ is a dimmer switch.
