Where do YOU buy Z-Wave Products?

Just wondering where everyone prefers to buy Z-Wave products in US, Canada (and feel free to pitch your vote if you’re in UK/Aus/Other - don’t want to exclude anyone).

I purchased my first 7 devices from AARTech here in Canada and I highly recommend them to fellow Canadians; however, they carry a limited number of devices, so I’m exploring other options. Here’s what I’ve found so far:

  1. Aartech - Highly recommended, but limited devices and not as competitively priced as some other companies.
  2. ZWaveProducts - Prices look great, and I have no personal experience with them, I’ve decided not to buy from them based on comments on this forum and other 3rd party websites that rank customers’ experiences.
  3. Tiger Direct - I’m of the impression their orders are fulfilled by #2 above. So ditto.
  4. SmartHome
  5. eBay
  6. Amazon
  7. Homeseer

That seems to be the big ones anyway. What’s everyone’s preferred dealer on here?

Asi Home is another choice. The are located in PA and offer great customer service.

For Canada I’ve done both ASIHome and AArtech. Recommend both; just a matter of price/brokerage/selection.

Thanks Garrett/Marcoose. Hadn’t discovered ASI yet.

Time to go shopping for solutions (that I will need to find problems for).

wow… the ASI web site looks like it is stuck in the '90s :stuck_out_tongue:

Most of my Z-Wave stuff are from Amazon and ebay. Every once in a while Amazon makes some special deals on certain Z-Wave items, so be in the lookout !

In Europe I get my stuff from EuroX10.com and Vesternet.com both top service.

I personally know the people from Eurox10.com and they are really good!

Indeed. However, I appreciate when a company focuses on customer service and getting me the lowest prices! So hopefully this is the case with ASI; they seem to get great reviews around the forum.

I’ve used the eurox10.com

Europe: www.Vesternet.com … great and honest support comes along as well.

I have bought 90% of mine at Lowes (they sell the GE Z-wave line).

I’ve had great service from these companies:

www.asihome.com

In the US I have purchased 75% from Amazon and 25% from Lowes (If I needed something faster than Amazon). I was able to get Lowes to price match.

the biggest problem on amazon is that you never really know for what frequency and voltage the z-wave items are.
as 99% of them do not state this informations at all. ;(

thats kind of a drawback for me regarding buying z-wave hardware there.

I’ve bought from Amazon when I know exactly what I’m buying and want it fast (Amazon prime). I often use smarthome.com as they have periodic sales up to 15% off but be careful because their descriptions are not always accurate. ASIHome has great service and selection of devices.

I ordered from zwaveproducts.com once - won’t use them again.

Most of my stuff is ebay. Look for Automated Outlet seller, they have great ebay sells.
