Where are these garage door tilt/motion sensors coming from!??

I have a Fortrezz relay wired to my garage door, and a garage door tilt sensor.

At one point, I experimented with a garage door app/plugin, but those have since been removed when I had some problems with them. Now, I get these “_Motion Sensor” devices that get assigned to my garage room, and I have no idea where they come from.

Anyone have any idea on how I can kill these things, and keep them from coming back? They seem to be arming sporadically, and a few of them have tripped an alarm at ungodly hours of the morning despite the garage door being closed.

Thanks in advance!

You sure they are related to the garage door? They are motion sensors. How about to the camera?

I didn’t think they were from the camera. All of these devices have ID #44 as the parent_id setting, which happens to be the garage door button device, which is for the relay.

I guess I’ve got some lingering linkage between the garage door opener app which tied the button and the sensor together… I guess I’ll try reinstalling and see what happens…

Ahhh Yes if your parent is showing the garage door, then you should be correct. What kind of Fortrezz relay do you have? A MIMOlite?

Perhaps you should remove the button, make sure everything is cleaned up, and then add it again?

When I added my Mimi lite I used the plugin I got 4 devices.
1 binary switch opens/closes the door
2 a sensor which works off the mag switch I hooked to input
3 pulse input device.
4 a generic sensor that always shows level of 2. Just another function built in the mimo.

The mimolite input can be a on/off or pulse counter or analog input ,
So I guess by providing the three input devices you can pick the one you want to use. I just put them in a room called z-room. I suspect when you delete them they will just come back during polling. If you go to apps/mimolite plugin and help you will see these devices at the bottom of the help page. Somewhere in Vera I saw a hide device option.

You my friend are on UI5 and not on UI7 like the OP. Not the same problem.

yes, sorry, didn’t look at the picture.

So far in UI7 the MimoLite Plugin don’t work and won’t create the other devices we need (as you described). They are currently working on updating it.

yes, one of the reasons i went back to 5

I don’t want to speak too soon, but a couple days ago I reinstalled Garage Door app, and the mystery motion detectors haven’t come back…

Hopefully that stays the case.
