Has wi-fi, 4G and Zwave…very interesting
This is the new Touch 5100 out in june.
I just was ADI and sat in on a class about the Honeywell TUX… basically the Big brother to the 5100
The TUX and I assume the 5100, at this point does not deal with the alarm Zones… so you can not use them in a scene (yet… suppose to be coming)
I have installed the Lynx all in one alarm panels … very easy to setup… could be cool
The scene control is a bit too basic on the TUX as of now also… I ma using a AD2USB on a 20P Panel and the TUX connected to the panel… I can arm from Vera and the TUX voice says armed etc…
Tried making the TUX a secondary controller for the vera3… only the T-stat worked all ways (from T-stat, TUX and Vera) Lights … nope
I have had a Tuxedo Touch for about a month now as my only Zwave controller and everything works pretty flawlessly, with door locks arming and disarming, lights on timed scenes, etc.
I need more scenes than the TUX can provide though so I’m going to add a vera lite.
When I was doing the TUX install I did read, and I can give the page number if you want me to look it up, that the TUX must ALWAYS be the primary controller and anything else secondary. I can’t see how that would be an issue. I just want to be able to create more than 10 scenes and I can’t thing of anything but to add a vera.
I installed the Tuxedo and quickly decided that I wanted more. As I dug deeper into zwave Vera kept showing up so I bought the Vera lite. I have since made the Tuxedo the secondary controller and everything showed up fine and works but the names are goofy. Funny thing is after I installed HomeBuddy on my phone I would rather use it to control than the Tuxedo.
