What does the 'Pin' button on each device do?

Hello,

I am sure the answer is staring emin the face (!) - but can anyone tell me what the drawing pin icon button does at the top of each device?

Also, is there a way of making appliance modules show up in different category to ‘lights’ - as I have my Roberts Radio connected to one - and it would be good to create a category like ‘Audio’ - rather than it showing up alongside my lights.

It pins that item to the Dashboard (i.e. the first tab), so you can have your ‘favorite stuff’ on one tab.

Also, is there a way of making appliance modules show up in different category to 'lights' [...] create a category like 'Audio'[...]
I believe those categories are fixed.

I had a situation Sunday night with my Alarm panel where only two devices showed up under the “Sensors” tab. Hours of fiddling trying to get the other devices to show up, I stumbled upon them under the “Other” tab… ???

Anyway, there was a post the other day (maybe last week) that described changing the category of a device. Manipulating some of the parameters on the advanced tab as I recall. I’ll see if I can find it for you.
