What constitutes a Kwikset "Bad PIN" for Vera notification

I see that one of the notifications I can get from my VeraLite and Kwikset Smart Code is when a bid PIN is entered.

I have no trouble getting notifications when existing PINs are entered.

But if I enter, say a random 4 digits, and wait, nothing happens as far as any notification.

When a good PIN is entered, the lock opens immediately after the last digit is pushed, so it’s not obvious what a bad PIN is, as far as notifications are concerned.

Who knows?

This has been discussed several times and a search would have found a few results. A bad pin would not get triggered until after several failed attempts. I forget the number (I want to say 3 or 4 times).

Hi.

I did do a search, but found nothing useful for Kwikset. The majority of the threads talk about the Schlage lock. Perhaps I was using the wrong search keywords. Sorry.
