I have two Wayne Dalton thermostats models wdtc-20. I have added them to Vera. However, when I try to set them, I get the following message “Message failed with response: ERROR Thermostat is not configured”. They worked with the GE advanced remote. I found nothing in the wiki or the thermostat user manual that helps. Any help would be appreciated.
That’s a good question Any theormostats that are confirmed to be working with Vera?
my WDTC-20 does work, its just 5F off on all the readings.
But it does work.
did you try excluding it and then reincluding it to your Z-wave network?
Hi…
Did you ever work out this issue? I’m having the exact same problem…
Explicitly exclude the device and then add them back. There is something on the wiki on it (can’t find it) try searching the groups for things like:

Ended up being a distance issue…albeit, I would have thought that 25-30 feet from the Vera to the thermostat wouldn’t have been an issue. But, when I bring the thermostat into the same room as the Vera, it configures and actually works…
Guess I need an intermediary device to act as a relay.

I have three of these in our house and they’ve all been working flawlessly for several months. We have several intermediates in various rooms, and communication has not been an issue. We have been using scenes to set back the thermostats for cool sleeping temps (in FL) and then periodic rises at night. It all works spectacularly. I did have to bring power to each thermostat at installation, but the hassle was minor and I’m sure we’ve saved a bundle on A/C bills.
