Want to "control" the vera3 - how

I’m trying to determine if the VERA3 is going to be a feasible device as mutiple fomat controller. I am working with a developer to create a plugin to control the Vera3 and all connected devices from my automation system. I requested information, but was overwhelmed with a lot of material that seemingly was not what I required. I don’t want to make a plugin that runs in vera, I simply want to tell it what to do and request status from devices.

Typically I get a protocol that details what I need to talk to automation devices, to both control and listen. Is there anyone who can provide the Vera3 protocol so I may create this interface? If there is someone from the developer department that could contact me I would appreciate it. Thanks

Vera is an open platform based on the MIOS engine. In addition it is largely supported through open user forums like this. Most information can be found by searching this forum. Additionally wiki.micasaverde.com has tons of info as well. This particular page http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Luup_Requests describes how you would ‘control’ Vera via http calls.

Also in the wiki have a look at the UI pages that are located in the “all pages” section. It will give you details on how to use vera’s api.
