Voice commands don't work with Garage Door

Using Garage Door (app id 2998), v2.1.
From the app I can tap Garage Door and it will open / close properly, but I can’t give voice commands.
If I say “open garage door” it will say “opening garage door” but nothing happens. Likewise for close, and if I say lock/unlock it will say opening/closing garage door, but not do anything.

P.S. This forum has by far the most irritating captcha I’ve encountered.

same here, i can dim, turn on/off lights with veramate voice control but not the garage. it will say “turning on (not opening) garage door”; 2-3 minutes garage door is still closed.

Just updated to V8.8 were the voice control is no longer available.

NB: The above issues are still on my list to confirm, will reply in more depth in a bit.

However, voice control should still be available - there is a new icon in the free edition which I had to whip up quickly (until I can create a better one), but it should still be there. Could you explain more how you don’t think it’s available?

There is absolutely no reaction to any spoken word nor any feedback/confirmation of what is said. The Voice icon/button change every sec. from green to red. Speak device changes: on / Voice commands always: on / Activation code: on

James, any comment/instructions about the VC problem since update to V8.8?

Well, I can confirm 8.8 should fix the issue with items such as “open door” - these simple commands should now activate using extra code put in for these scenarios in 8.8.

However, for the premium version voice turning red/error, it looks like something has happened with the upload of this 8.8 configuration. This was submitted to Apple over a month ago now (due to Apple rejection issues), so I can’t confirm exactly what has happened here yet. I have an 8.9 minor patch with Apple now, and will be looking into the configuration with the service provider, although 8.9 should fix this at the worst case.
